Antonio Alonso is the Art & Creative Director at 3DOE and an Art Direction

He has been co-founder of CANAL+ SPAIN in 1990 and Head of its Graphics Department since 1994 to 2005 when he becomes Head of Graphics for CUATRO new spanish tv channel where he stays up to 2011.

CANAL+ and CUATRO have been very well liked and succesful brands that have achieved many national and international Design awards along  these years: Promax-BDA, Laus, AEPD, New York Festival Medals (including several golds) and SPAIN'S NATIONAL DESIGN AWARD in 2003.

During the 80's he worked at the Art Direction Department in THE STOCK MARKET Photo Agency of New York and as a electronic graphic designer at TELEVISIÓN DE GALICIA up to 1990.

In 2004 he directs the documentary C+D(esign) on the making of the Brand Image of CANAL+ Spain that was screened and broadcasted to celebrate the NATIONAL AWARD OF DESIGN 2003. This documentary achieves the SILVER MEDAL to BEST PROGRAM in ARTS in 2005 at NEW YORK FESTIVAL.

En 1999 he makes a 35MM  animation shortfilm "Ode to Poe" as an homage to the american writer in the 150th anniversary of his death. "Ode to Poe" had its premiere at 56 MOSTRA OF VENICE being the only animation film selected in this edition. It was selected in many other national and international festivals: BBC Film Festival (England), Ars Electronica (Austria), Oslo Int. Film Festival (Norway), Dark Light Film Fest. (Ireland), Ottawa Int. Animation Film Fest. (Canada),  Alcalá de Henares Short Film Festival (Spain), Ourense Int. Film Festival (Spain)...

In 2000 "Ode to Poe" achieves the JURY's MENTION of  Festival de Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) y BEST DIRECTION AWARD in Black Maria Film Festival (USA). The shortfilm was also broadcasted by CANAL+ Spain and CANAL+ France.

Antonio Alonso studied Direction and Photography at  IDEP Barcelona. Anatomy,  Composition, Design & Colour at Art Students League. Computer Graphics Design and Edition in The School of Visual Arts. Advanced Video Production & Direction at Global Village and Design at Parsons School of Design in New York (USA).

He has also worked as a teacher and has given several lectures like  "Design as tv eye candy" in BROADCAT, Barcelona 2006 and "C+D(esign): the creation of CANAL+ Branding", Instituto Europeo di Design, Barcelona 2007. He has also been a member of the Jury of the SPAIN'S NATIONAL DESIGN AWARD  2004.

In 2012 he enrolled the 3D CINEMA IN EUROPE in Ireland. This is a  training program aimed to provide european creative, directors and producers an indepth knowledge on the Stereoscopic 3D techniques: pre-production, production, post-production, distribution and exhibition techniques programmed by FAS SCREEN TRAINING IRELAND.

He has also Designed and Art directed the documentary "The photo of the century" made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of BETIS C.F. Seville's football club and edited the shortfilm "The tower of time" nominated to 2011 GOYA AWARDS (Spanish Academy Awards). During these past years he shared his freelance projects for Brands like Cuatro, Iberdrola, LVMH, Preventiva and VIACOM's SWEMEA (South-Western Europe, Middle East and Africa) Cluster Design Management with university teaching.
